Before You Rent
What you should do before you rent:
- Verify the person you are giving your rent and security deposit to is the owner or represents the owner. Search Ownership.
- Verify that the owner is current on the mortgage and the property is not in foreclosure.
- Inspect the property and note any and all damage to the property before you move in. Have damage list signed by landlord/owner.
- Lease should be in writing on an Arizona Lease Agreement.
- Know you rights as a tenant.
- Obtain renters insurance.
- Read and understand the lease agreement.
